Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
These terms apply to all visitors to hollisgrey.com and to anyone who engages with Hollis & Grey's services, content, or communications.
Part 1: Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Hollis & Grey builds and runs operational infrastructure for single family offices and for founders and owners of medium-sized businesses, through fractional COO engagements, advisory retainers, and free self-assessments.
By using this website or engaging with any Hollis & Grey service, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
Hollis & Grey offers the following:
- Operational infrastructure for single family offices, and for founders and medium-sized businesses: operational systems and infrastructure, built and then kept running on a retainer basis. Scope, deliverables, fees, and confidentiality are defined in a separate engagement agreement signed by both parties before work begins. Every engagement begins with a mutual NDA.
- Free assessments, such as the Principal Dependency Assessment. These are provided for your own information and are not a substitute for professional advice.
Nothing is sold through this website. Nothing on this website constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Hollis & Grey does not manage assets, hold a fiduciary relationship with website visitors, or provide services regulated by the SEC, FINRA, or any equivalent body.
3. No asset management
Hollis & Grey is a fee-for-service operations firm. We do not manage, hold, or advise on investment assets. We do not earn commissions, referral fees, or any compensation tied to investment products or decisions. Engaging Hollis & Grey does not affect your existing advisor relationships.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are set out in your engagement agreement. Invoices are issued through HubSpot and paid through Stripe, our payment processor. By paying an invoice you agree to the amount and terms stated on it.
- All fees are in USD unless the engagement agreement says otherwise.
- Retainer fees are invoiced on the schedule in the engagement agreement.
- Card and bank details are entered on Stripe's secure payment pages and are never seen or stored by Hollis & Grey.
- Refund and termination terms are set out in the engagement agreement.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including written content, frameworks, assessments, and visual assets, is the property of Hollis & Grey or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
Taking an assessment grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use your own results. It does not grant rights to share, resell, or redistribute the assessment itself.
6. Disclaimers
This website, the assessments, and all Hollis & Grey content are provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Use of this website and reliance on any content is at your own risk.
Hollis & Grey is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or engagement with our services, beyond the amount paid by you in the 30 days preceding any claim.
7. Third-party services
Parts of this website and our client work run on services we do not control: Google Calendar for scheduling, Stripe for payment, HubSpot for invoicing and client communications, and Lovable for hosting the free assessments. Their terms and privacy practices apply when you use them, and Hollis & Grey is not responsible for their content or availability. Links do not constitute endorsement.
8. Changes to these terms
Hollis & Grey may update these terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

Part 2: Privacy Policy
Hollis & Grey takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to all visitors to hollisgrey.com, to anyone who takes one of our assessments, and to anyone who engages with our services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
- Name, email address, and anything you write in a message, when you contact us through the site or by email.
- Booking details (name, email, time zone, and any notes you add), when you book a conversation through Google Calendar.
- Your answers and results, and any contact details the assessment asks for, when you take one of our free assessments.
- Billing details (name, company, billing address, and tax ID where required), when we invoice you. Card and bank details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored by Hollis & Grey.
- Anything you share with us during an engagement, which is covered by the engagement agreement and NDA rather than by this policy.
Information collected automatically
- hollisgrey.com itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties.
- Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs for a short period: the IP address, browser type, pages requested, and referring URL of each visit. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.
- The scheduling page embeds Google Calendar's appointment page. Inside that frame, Google may set its own cookies and record your IP address, browser type, and time zone, and if you are signed in to a Google account it will know which one.
- Stripe's payment pages, HubSpot's invoice pages, and the assessment pages hosted on Lovable each record technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information when you use them. Stripe uses some of this to detect fraud.
- Emails we send through HubSpot may record whether the email was opened and which links were clicked.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiry and hold the conversation you scheduled.
- Deliver your assessment results and, if you asked for it, follow up on them.
- Keep a record of our clients and prospective clients, invoice for our work, and receive payment.
- Send you updates about Hollis & Grey if you have asked for them. You can stop these at any time using the link in any such email.
- Keep the website running, secure, and available.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Third-party services
Hollis & Grey uses the following services, each of which processes data on our behalf under its own privacy policy:
- Netlify: website hosting and the delivery of messages sent through the site. Privacy policy: netlify.com/privacy

Each of these providers is contractually obligated to protect your data in accordance with applicable law. Some of them process data outside the country you live in.
4. Email communications
If you contact us, book a conversation, or take an assessment, we may email you about it. We will only send you ongoing updates if you have asked for them, and every such email includes a way to stop. Emails about an invoice or an engagement are sent regardless of marketing preferences.
We do not send unsolicited commercial email.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Server logs are kept by Netlify for a short period and then deleted. Client and invoicing records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. If you request deletion of your data, we will honor that request where technically feasible and legally permissible.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.

7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. This website is served over HTTPS only. Payment details are handled exclusively by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
